December’s here and the energy feels… full.
Long days. Big energy. Sagittarius season meets the Summer Solstice and we’re being pulled to expand and slow down at the same time.
Sagittarius is the visionary of the zodiac – it wants us to dream big, see the big picture, and lean into what’s possible. Meanwhile, the solstice brings a moment of stillness. The most light. A chance to stop and look around before we step into a new cycle.
And honestly? That’s exactly what I’ve been feeling lately.
I recently attended a reflection session, and it landed something I didn’t even realise I’d been carrying – I’ve been pushing again. Filling space. Saying yes when I needed to pause. Trying to keep momentum when what I really needed was to stop and breathe.
And now I can feel it: I’m out of balance. And my body is calling for recalibration.
So I’m coming back to the simple things that bring me joy – swimming in the ocean, walking through my local park and looking up at the trees, rolling out my mat and moving gently. Saying no to things that don’t feel true. Giving myself permission to not do it all.
Sometimes, the most powerful thing we can do for ourselves isn’t to expand outward, but to soften inward. To come home. To remember what actually fills us.
If there’s one big lesson that’s stood out for me this year, it’s this: trust. Not the comfortable kind. The stretch-you kind. The kind where you say yes to something even though you don’t know where it’s going. Where you listen to your intuition and take the first step without needing the whole path mapped out. This year has also been a masterclass in surrender. In loosening my grip. In believing that what’s meant for me will meet me – but only if I’m open enough to receive it.
And what I’ve learned is that abundance doesn’t come from forcing or hustling. It comes when we’re grounded. When we’re grateful. When we allow space for the unexpected to arrive.
Gratitude isn’t about pretending everything’s perfect. It’s about letting in what’s already true – the softness, the joy, the beauty that exists even in the middle of the chaos.
And when we drop into that space; when we connect to gratitude from the heart – something shifts. Our vision becomes clearer. Our energy becomes more spacious. We start to see possibility again.
The Heart and Third Eye chakras work so beautifully together this time of year – one brings us into feeling, the other into seeing. Both help us access the wisdom we already carry.
If you’re feeling full, scattered or just a bit over it all, here’s a really gentle practice to come back to yourself.
Gratitude + Vision Check-In
- Sit in a patch of sunlight (or candlelight if that feels good).
- Take 3 deep breaths and ask: What am I truly grateful for right now?
- Write down or think of 3 things – big or small.
- Then ask: What do I want to feel more of next year?
- Let the answer come. No pressure. Just noticing.
This isn’t about goal-setting. It’s about opening – so whatever you create is aligned with what matters most. You don’t need to carve out an hour. You can do it in the car, at the sink, before bed. You can do it messy, tired, in your activewear. It still counts.
At this point, I want to give you a little self-care reminder (because, December!). This time of year can be beautiful, but also really full. Full of people. Decisions. Pressure. Emotion. The mental load can sometimes feel overwhelming. What to buy for people, who’s hosting, how to fit it all in. Budgets, time, expectations. It’s a lot.
So please hear this:
- You can say no.
- You don’t have to be everything to everyone.
- You’re allowed to take five minutes to reset.
- You’re allowed to feel it all and still be grateful.

As we move into this season of light and long days, may we all remember:
Abundance doesn’t have to be earned. It doesn’t have to be chased.
It arrives when we’re open. When we’re ready. When we’re rooted in what’s real.
Here’s to a spacious end to your year – one filled with grace, gratitude, and glimpses of what’s next.
Live, Love & Laugh,
