How do you energetically prepare yourself for success?
This week, I am preparing to host a 2 day program for over 20 women. Other than the obvious logistical tasks that are required, I also follow a consistent energetic routine in the lead up and during each program I hold. This process can easily be applied to various aspects in your life, such as preparing for a pitch, important meeting, job interview, new role or when you run your own events or programs.
Here are the 5 things I do to energetically prepare myself for success:
Set an intention – I dont do anything without have a clear intention. An intention is a clear outcome, end result or goal you are focussed on. By setting an intention upfront, we become focussed on that intention and we bring the energy to support it coming to fruition. Try choosing an intention next time you are doing something where you need a clear outcome. State it by saying it aloud or writing it down and then take a moment to choose it. Intention is incredibly powerful! Be specific.
Self care – when things are busy and life gets chaotic, this can be the first thing to drop off. In order to negate this, try to book things in ahead of time, so when that deadline is approaching or event is looming, you will thank past you who had the foresight to book that much needed massage, or hair appointment. Self care looks different for everyone, you know what you need – so organise it ahead of time! For me, I booked in an Indian Head Massage with my talented friend right in the middle of my launch period for a new program. It was exactly what I needed to balance and top up my energy at a critical time.
Cleanse your space – for me, this often means actually cleaning! For you, it might mean shifting around some furniture, cleaning your workspace, doing some energy work or rituals. Or a bit of all of it. When you cleanse your space, it shifts stagnant energy and helps to create space to bring in what you desire. Think good feng shui!
Exercise – this is another one that can drop off when things get hectic. Exercise is a great way to promote natural energy flow, removing toxins, clearing space and creates feel good hormones – go endorphins! I also love exercise as a way of getting into my body and out of my head. Do what feels good to you – walk, stretch, dance, lift weights, swim. It’s your jam, just move that beautiful body!
Treat yourself – I do this by purchasing something that I feel beautiful and bold in. Many of my programs are delivered online, so I like to show up in vibrant colours and patterns. It helps me to show up and it gives me a confidence boost when I’m feeling good. For you, it could be a new bag, lunch alone, nail appointment, new lipstick. Go with what makes you feel good and consciously treat yourself – you deserve it.
