For many of us, especially the mums – this week marked the real start of the year. Kids back at school. Lunchboxes prepped. Alarms set. The full dance of mornings, emotional drop-offs, after-school activities, and trying to remember what the heck you’re supposed to be doing in your own life in between all the logistics.
It’s a lot.
Even if you’ve been back at work for weeks, this shift into February often brings a certain kind of mental reset and with it, the realisation that our energy might already be fraying at the edges.
For me, this past week has felt like someone turned up the intensity dial. I’ve had moments of deep visioning, signs from the universe… and more than one moment where I thought I might blow my top.
But I’ll get to that.
Let’s first talk about the energy we’re swimming in.
We’re now in Aquarius Season, an Air sign that invites innovation, big-picture dreaming, and connection to community. We’re also approaching the Lunar New Year on 17 February, ushering in the Year of the Fire Horse; bold, fast-moving energy that can inspire big leaps but also stir up agitation if we’re not grounded.
In short? It’s a potent time to vision forward but only if we’re doing it from a place of clarity and connection. Not chaos.
After sharing my 2025 reflections in January, I’ve been exploring what it means to create a year that doesn’t just look good on paper but feels true in the body. For me, that means stepping away from rigid goal-setting and instead playing with the idea of a monthly energetic map, choosing a theme for each month and letting that guide how I show up, respond, and create.
This is something I’ll be sharing in our Visionary Woman ½ Day Journey this weekend, co-creating and guiding alongside Lesley-Ann Bergstrom and I’m so excited to hold this space together.
As part of my own preparation, I’ll be doing a guided Journey to My Future Self, a process where I drop into the energy of February 2027 and connect with the version of me who has already lived this year. It’s powerful, clarifying, and grounding. And the women joining us will be guided through this same journey.
If you’re wondering what to expect, picture this: yoga mats, soft cushions, herbal tea in hand, fresh and nourishing refreshments, deep conversation, and a safe and intentional space to explore your personal vision for 2026. It’s less about planning and more about attuning – to your body, your rhythm, and what your life actually wants to feel like this year.
But even as I’ve leaned into the softness of visioning, the universe has had a few things to say too.
Let’s call them… signs.
Reading the Signs (Even When It’s Sticky)
You know those days (or weeks) when things keep going wrong, and it’s not quite enough to break you, but enough to make you question everything?
That was me this week.
Within 72 hours:
I dropped a tub of yoghurt up my dress at work – yes, UP – it exploded like a dairy volcano, all over my legs, underwear, and the office floor.
I dropped a brand new 1kg container of hummus, only to discover the lid wasn’t properly sealed. It shattered (yep, plastic can shatter apparently), sending hummus and shards flying in every direction.
I knocked over my water bottle, sending it hurtling toward two laptops, both personal and work.
All small things. But together? I was ready to scream.
And yet, I know better than to just label it a ‘bad week.’ These kinds of moments are often invitations to pause. To reflect. To ask: Where am I not fully grounded? Where am I pushing too hard?
I sat with it. And I noticed the signs that were trying to come through.
A Fairy Wren kept appearing – in images, on cards, figurines in shops. Small, delicate, and symbolic of feminine energy, new beginnings, and intuition.
On a walk (taken, ironically, to cool my frustration), I found a kookaburra feather – a symbol of lightness, laughter, and spiritual renewal.
These breadcrumbs from the universe don’t always come with clear instructions. But they remind me to stay awake. To keep listening. To trust that even the messy moments are part of the map.
Fire Horse Energy & That Push-Pull Tension
With the Fire Horse energy approaching, it’s no surprise things are feeling intense. This year asks us to move boldly – but not recklessly. It’s fire energy, yes – but it needs containment, fuel, and direction.
If you’re feeling stretched between the desire to leap ahead and the need to stabilise – you’re not alone. That’s why creating a structure for your year that’s flexible is so powerful.
The energetic calendar I’m working with (and sharing in Visionary Woman) is exactly that: a soft map. A framework. It lets me explore what each month might want from me – and what I want to offer in return.
Some words are already clear. Others will emerge. But the process itself? That’s the medicine.
Want to Try It?
If you’d like to begin crafting your own 2026 vision, try this simple journaling practice I use with clients:
Pull out an oracle or tarot deck.
Note: Don’t have a deck? No worries. You can simply close your eyes, tune into each month, and see what word, feeling or image comes through. Trust that your intuition knows exactly what you need. And if you are looking to start or grow your collection, my Tash Diaries Powerful Woman oracle deck is a beautiful place to begin. You can grab yours by clicking HERE. Just a heads up – collecting decks can become a tiny bit addictive!
Then, tune into the energy of each month, from February 2026 through to January 2027. Draw one card per month.
Let each card become your energetic theme or anchor.
Then journal using prompts like:
- What does this theme mean to me?
- What will I be doing, feeling, or moving through?
- Are there any numbers, events or dates that jump out?
- What support might I need to honour this theme?
This isn’t about prediction, it’s about tuning in. Listening. Letting your intuition guide the structure that will hold your expansion.
Leading with Trust (Even Before Clarity)
You don’t need to have the full picture to begin. And you definitely don’t need to force a word of the year before it arrives.
Last year, my word was Magic and wow, did it show up in ways I couldn’t have predicted.
This year, my word is Flow which is all about leaning into surrender, creativity, trust, intuition and allowing. It’s the opposite of efforting, forcing, trying, stressing. I’m being asked to soften into movement, not power through it.
So for now, I’m staying open. I’m leading from vision, not certainty.
And if the universe keeps throwing yoghurt and hummus at me, I’ll do my best to receive it as a nudge, not a punishment.
One Last Thing…
If this is resonating, and you’re craving some guided space to create your own vision, join us at Visionary Woman this weekend – or stay tuned next week when I’ll share a few ways you can catch the replay, or work with me 1:1 to map out your year.
You don’t need more pressure. You need more presence. And maybe, just maybe – a few feathers to follow.
Live, Love & Laugh,
Tash x
